RUN FOR AURORA 50 COURSE

Ran the entire 10 mile loop today... and what a fun course!!

First loop is an 8 mile combination of trails and road with 2-3 miles of climbing, some spectacular views and then easy descent back to visitors areas.

The photos here are form the 2 mile easy loop, which is all graded dirt road through grassy flats and meadows with some really neat rock outcroppings.

It will be a tough 50 for sure, and should be great prep for those who are aiming for the Leadville 100.

I will also offer a 50 K (30 miles) for those not desiring such a grueling run!

Getting pretty excited here!

Hello, I run the trails at Roxborough along with Indian Creek that shares trail and they are awesome. I will be running the 50 miler and am training for Leadville 100. You have estimate elevation gain total for 50 miler? Stephen

Hi Stephen, Yes Roxborough has some spectacular trails, and excellent preparation for Leadville. The course elevation gain is approximately 100 feet per loop, and the 50 mile race completes this loop five times, making the total elevation gain 5000 feet. Please let me know if you have any other questions I can answer for you. Look forward to seeing you in June! Claire Dorotik www.runwithitracing.com

Hi Stephen, Just realized my mistake...course is 1000 ft per loop, total elevation 5000 ft. Hopefully that's clear now!
